Key Club International is oldest and largest student-led organization made up of over 200,000 students around the world all united by a common purpose: serving their homes, schools, and communities. As a truly International organization, Key Club consists of clubs from around the world in areas like Jamaica, Eastern Canada, and even the Philippines!

Objectives of Key Club International

  • To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life.
  • To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
  • To promote the adoption and application of higher standards in scholarship, sportsmanship and social contacts.
  • To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.
  • To provide a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render unselfish service and to build better communities.
  • To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which makes possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and good will.

Who can join Key Club?

Any high school student is eligible to join Key Club. High school students typically range between 14 and 18 years old in the Continental United States (subject to other ages in other territories and countries).

Key Club is the oldest and largest student-led service program for high school students. It teaches leadership and character-building through providing service to others in homes, schools, and local communities.

Key Club members participate in various community service projects, fundraising activities, and leadership development opportunities both locally and globally.

Yes, Key Club International offers several scholarships yearly for dues-paid members in good standing. These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to service. New Jersey Key Club also offers state-level scholarships awarded to New Jersey Key Clubbers exclusively. 

Yes, colleges and universities often look favorably upon Key Club participation as it demonstrates a commitment to community service, leadership, and civic engagement.

Absolutely! Parents can support Key Club activities by volunteering, providing transportation, or assisting with fundraising efforts. Parents can also join a local sponsoring Kiwanis Club and lend their time and help there as well.

Alumni can stay connected through the Key Club International Alumni Association and sign up to be part of the network. This association provides access to networking opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and more. Members can also go on to the next step in their K-Family journey and join Circle K.
