Effects of Not Paying Dues
- If dues are not paid by a club, they will no longer be allowed to participate in annual district events like Fall Rally or the District Convention.
- Clubs and club members will not have the opportunities for scholarships or running for district level positions.
- If dues are not paid by February 1st, their status will become suspended.
- If dues are not paid by October 1st the following year, the club will then become inactive.
- Key Club International will typically revoke a club’s charter after 2 years of no payment. If a charter is revoked, they will have to pay a fee and an additional chartering fee.
Where do dues go?
The international dues ensure resources for all members, advisors, and clubs:
- Resources: Club opening, chartering, and member invitations.
- Training Materials: District and club officer training.
- Official Website: Key Club website and social media.
- Opportunity Fund: Provides grants to clubs for service projects.
- District and International Events: Fall Rally, DECON, ICON
- Awards: District and club awards.
- Insurance: Liability insurance.
