What is District Education Conference?
District Education Conference, or DECON, is an annual event where Key Clubbers in New Jersey come together to celebrate their successful service year and get ready to usher in the new service year. All students from across the state are welcome to attend.
AWARDS
Be recognized in front of everyone for your club’s hard work all year. Take part in contests like our Talent Show, Oratorical, Essay, Scrapbook, and more.
ELECTIONS
Let your voice be heard during district officer elections for Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, and Editor along with endorsement of International Candidates.
WORKSHOPS
Listen to speakers from professional organizations throughout the country share experiences that you can learn from and bring to your homes, schools, and communities to make them a better place.
SERVICE PROJECTS
Take part in service activities that will enhance your community and earn service hours while having fun with friends!
MAKE NEW FRIENDS
One of the best parts of Key Club is making new friends through service – meet Key Clubbers from around the state that love service just as much as you.
ENJOY THE BEACH
This year’s convention will be held in historic Asbury Park at the Berkeley Hotel, located directly across the street from the iconic Convention Hall at the Jersey Shore.
Celebrating 100 Years of Key Club
We’re going back to the beach for the big 100th celebration! Join us at The Berkeley Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ for three days of Key Club festivities where students can meet new friends from across the state, participate in service projects, take part in exciting and educational workshops, and vote in district elections for the 2025-2026 leadership.
-Since this is the big 100, we have some awesome plans including:
- Beach bonfires
- A boba truck
- An exciting guest speaker
- Alumni celebration
- Beach cleanup service project
