Dear New Jersey District Board:
My name is William Shaughnessy and I am truly honored to serve as Lieutenant Governor At Large for the 2017-2018 service year. I look forward to working with all of you to better our homes, schools and communities!
I am currently a junior at Arthur L. Johnson (ALJ) High School in Clark, New Jersey. Before being appointed Lieutenant Governor At Large, I served as an ALJ Key Club Board Member. The past three years in Key Club have been amazing. Some of my achievements include: (Freshman year) I was the only ALJ Freshman to receive the Diamond Award (Sophomore year) – I attended my first DCON and was awarded the Golden Award. Later that year, I was honored to receive the All-Star Award. This year, I am on track to receive the All-Star Award once again. Outside of Key Club, I am the Vice President of the ALJ Science Olympiad team, a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and I am a five-year volunteer for the Children’s Miracle Network.
I cannot wait to serve on the New Jersey District Board with all of you! I plan on using my time as Lieutenant Governor At Large to improve the New Jersey District as much as I can. Some goals I hope to achieve in the upcoming service year include:
· Build at least two new Key Clubs
· Assist other Lieutenant Governors in planning a divisional event
· Be readily available to field all questions, listen and learn from all concerns and act onall great ideas
Please feel free to contact me anytime. I look forward to an amazing year full of service!
Yours in Caring and Service,
Lieutenant Governor At Large
