Hello New Jersey District of Key Club International,
It is an honor to serve you for this upcoming year as your District Treasurer for the 2017 - 2018 service year. I look forward to this new service year with great excitement. I am hopeful to achieve service opportunities to build our communities and to make an impact even greater than last year.
Currently, I am a Junior at Morris Knolls High School in Division 21 and have been involved in key club for the past 3 years. I was Vice President of my home club and I had the opportunity to serve my home, school and community. Last year, I was Lieutenant Governor of Division 21 and I built a very strong division. As LTG and with the help of my clubs, we fundraised for the district project, for organizations throughout our community, and had various service projects. Taking on the role as LTG for division 21 was a tough and enduring process, but I did it with ease. This year will certainly not be easy, but I know I can handle the position as District Treasurer. I know I will be able to take on and make the best of with my work ethic, my skills and mostly my drive.
A lot of my time is focused on key club, but outside of key club I am involved in various activities. I run cross-country in the fall and in the spring I run track and field. Also, I am a part of National Honor Society, Student Government, Business Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Unified Circles Club. As well, outside of school, I have been doing Taekwondo for 14 years and I have achieved a third degree black belt and am working towards my fourth degree, which I should get before I graduate high school.
My goals for the 2017-2018 service year can be easily described by the acronym VITA:
V: I vow to meet all of the District Treasurer’s responsibilities as outlined in the service agreement.
I: Initiate relationships with clubs with the goal of higher registration numbers.
T: Target clubs to pay 100% dues on time.
A: Advance the efficiency of the DCON and Fall Rally registration process for members by instituting an online enrollment procedure.
Lastly, I look forward to working with you all this upcoming year. I know we will have a successful service year along with having fun and forming friendships.
Yours in caring and service,
